LAN104
From Waisman Brain Imaging Wiki
LAN104 is one of the application servers at Brogden. You log into it via SSH. It is a Sun. It is fairly old and slow compared to other lab servers. It is unusual in that you can reach it directly from outside of BRECK. So when you're working at home, you can SSH to LAN104, and then SSH again from LAN104 to LAN106 - LAN109. To access LAN104 from a server at Keck, you might type something like this:
ssh -X lan104.psych.wisc.edu
Note that if you don't need graphical displays from your programs (i.e. you just need to run a SAS batch job, and don't plan on doing EEG scoring in MATLAB or image analysis with some program like AFNI), you can connect to LAN104 directly via the web by following this link (http://lan104.psych.wisc.edu). You will need a web browser with Java enabled (most modern browsers have this), and a fast internet connection (a dialup modem is too slow, but DSL or cablemodem are more than fast enough).
