BIOSEMI
From Waisman Brain Imaging Wiki
BioSemi Instrumentation (http://www.biosemi.com/) amps are used in Brogden 1 to record both EEG and non-EEG biological signals. They replace the old HEM / James Long systems. They are extremely compact, portable, and battery powered. Due to their active electrodes, optical isolation of the amps from the A/D circuitry, and battery power, they are extremely resistant to outside noise (such as 60 Hz power line noise).
There are two laptops that are configured to be used for session control and data recording with these amps. If you are interested in using them for your study, you will need to contact Heleen and Antoine.
Although the names and functions are similar, the BioSemi amps are not the same as the BIOPAC amps.
